Prayer to Saint Brendan

Saint Brendan,

You who gave up so much to follow the way of Him who calmed the sea of Galilee;

You who braved the fury of the ocean to carry the message of God's love to distant people;

You whose courage was an example to those who travelled with you;

Look now upon me as I face life's challenges and hardships and help me find the courage to live a life of faith, hope and trust in God so that, like you, I may always share the love of Christ with my fellow travellers in this life and earn the right to share eternal life with you. Amen
